Study Trips

A study trip is an educational journey designed to provide students with hands-on learning experiences outside the traditional classroom setting. These trips offer a unique opportunity to explore new environments, gain practical insights into a field of study, and connect theoretical knowledge with real-world applications.

Study trips can take place locally, nationally, or internationally, depending on the program's focus. They often include visits to relevant sites such as museums, historical landmarks, industries, research centers, or natural environments. For instance, a study trip focused on sustainability might involve tours of green energy facilities, while a trip for history students might include visits to culturally significant sites.

Malaysia and Singapore 2024

Study trip 2024 went to Singapore and Malaysia . There, students visited beautiful cities like Malacca, Kuala Lumpur, The Cameron Highlands, and stayed in the jungle; The Taman Negara. On this trip the research theme worked on was: Managing Liveable Urban Environments . Besides that, they also learned a lot about different cultures and innovative architecture. It was very much enjoyed!

Japan 2023

 

                           

During the 2023 trip to Tokyo, Hiroshima and Kyoto, students learned a lot about Japanese culture and architecture. They worked on the research topic of Future Proof Cities: climate adaptation and densification. The results of this memorable trip were presented in the MBE hallway at the beginning of the following academic year.

 

Helsinki, Stockholm, Oslo, Gothenburg and Copenhagen 2022

               

The 2022 study trip to Helsinki, Stockholm, Oslo, Gothenburg and Copenhagen was a unique opportunity to combine education and travel, allowing students to explore new places while deepening their understanding of the built environment.
