The International Business Tour (IBT) began in Houten, with a morning visit to BBN Adviseurs, a company with sustainability as a core value. Participants were given a tour of the office, which was built predominantly from natural materials, and had an insightful case study session. After lunch, there was free time for relaxation or study before heading to Schiphol Airport towards Florence, the first international stop.
The next day, the group took a train to Rome, where they received an exclusive tour of a development of The Social Hub that is nearing completion. They learned more about its unique concept as a hybrid space combining student housing, hotel stay, and a vibrant community hub. They even got to tour the rooms, gaining a firsthand look at the accommodations and facilities available. In the evening, the group enjoyed an Italian dinner at Casa Toscana.
The final full day was a mix of relaxation and exploration. Lunch was at Orizi Mariano, a well-regarded panini spot, where students got to taste the authentic panini. The afternoon featured visits to Uffizi Galleries, and a stroll through Visarno Market. Dinner at Osteria de' Peccatori wrapped up an incredible international experience.
This tour was a mix of business insights, culture, and the experience of Italy’s cuisine, making it an unforgettable journey for all participants.
